EDAC Aero Precision Components Capabilities
EDAC Aero Precision Components differentiates itself by strategic investment in leading edge technology manufacturing equipment, management and quality systems and continuous employee training.
Our machining capabilities include the latest and most accurate 4 and 5-axis machining centers and CNC turning centers capable of producing highly engineered components in exotic materials. Our size ranges from 8" (.2m) to 60" (1.5m) in diameter.
In a separate plant, our large machining capabilities include the latest and most accurate 4 and 5-axis machining centers capable of producing highly engineered components up to 80" x 120" x 60" in exotic materials with exacting accuracies and our CNC lathes can turn up to 144 inches in diameter. Our new advanced technologies include a multi-tasking CNC Mill/ Turn Mazak Integrex 1850 that allows us the ability vertically turn and 5-axis mill to produce complex components in a single staging. This done-n-one manufacturing delivers maximum versatility and throughput for complex parts. It works to eliminate multiple setups, fixtures, tools, handling and waiting time, which simply add to your manufacturing costs. In addition, Done-In-One machining brings dramatic reductions in lead-time and efficient lot sizes to satisfy customer JIT and cost demands. Part accuracy is improved by eliminating multiple setups.
Our new advanced technologies include a multi-tasking CNC Mill/ Turn Mazak Integrex 1060 V8 that allows us to vertically turn and 5-axis mill in a single set-up. Together with our Mazak Vari-Axis, twin turret CNC turning centers, and multiple 5-axis mills, we are able to eliminate non-value added functions like part and tool set-ups, increase our throughput, and reduce costs.
